The Basics

What Is Exterior Detailing?

Exterior detailing goes beyond a car wash. A standard wash removes surface dirt, but it can’t touch the bonded contaminants — brake dust, tree sap, rail dust, industrial fallout — that embed themselves into your clear coat over time. That’s what a clay bar treatment is for: it physically lifts those contaminants off the paint, leaving a surface that’s actually smooth to the touch, not just visually clean.

Once the paint is fully decontaminated, it’s ready to protect. A ceramic sealant bonds to that clean surface far more effectively than it would over embedded grime, which is why decontamination and protection are always paired together in our Wash, Clay & Seal package.

We assess your vehicle’s condition on arrival. This package is built for vehicles in average condition — not a restoration service for heavily neglected paint.

Hand Wash & Foam Bath

Dirt is loosened and lifted before anything touches the paint, including a dedicated pass on wheels, tires, and door jambs.

Clay Bar Decontamination

Bonded contaminants are stripped from the clear coat, leaving a glass-smooth surface underneath.

Our Wash, Clay & Seal package includes up to 3 months of protection, depending on how the vehicle is washed and stored afterward.
Is this a good fit for a heavily soiled or neglected vehicle?+

Do you clean the wheels and tires too?+
Yes — wheels and rims are deep cleaned and tires are shined and dressed as a standard part of this package.
How long does the service take?+
Typically about 1 hour, depending on your vehicle’s size and condition.
What do I need to provide?+
Just access to a water spigot and a power outlet at your location. We bring all of our own equipment and products — we don’t currently carry a generator or water supply, so those two are on you.
